Since the prizepools and buy-ins are going to rise from week to week, the first week will probably be the most interesting one for beginners. From September 4th until September 11th 2016, the Powerfest starts off with the featherweight and buy-ins from $5,50 up to $11. Though the buy-in for the main event on Sunday, September 11th, 2016 is only $11, the tournament has a guaranteed prizepool of $40.000. Those who participate in four or more tournaments during the first week will automatically get a tournament ticket for the following week.
What’s especially interesting for fans of mobile poker: You can also use your smartphone or tablet to take part in the Powerfest, since all tournaments are also available in the Partypoker App.
The Powerfest middleweight, with buy-ins from $22 to $55, will take place in the frist week as well this time. The middleweight’s main event is on September 11, offering a guaranteed prizepool of $100.000. Following the middleweight, the Powerfest will rise to the heavyweight stage in weeks two and three, with buy-ins of $109 to $215 and a main event guaranteeing a prizepool of $500.000. The high roller series is scheduled in weeks two and three as well, with buy-ins of $530 to $5200. The high roller’s main event has a buy-in of $1050 and a guaranteed prizepool of $1.000.000.
How to get a $530 tournament ticket for free
Earlier this year, you were able to get a ticket that enables you to take part in the tournament in the following week after having participated in Powerfest tournaments at least four times (that week). To us that sounds like a pretty good deal, since a ticket for week four is worth at least $530 – that makes an amazing bonus. During the last two weeks, Partypoker is also going to offer sattelites so that you can qualify for the tournament series with smaller stakes. We’ll keep you posted if that deal is valid in September as well.
