Since spring 2016, there has been a bigger update available for the Party Poker App for Android and iOS. With this newest version you can finally play the jackpot game Sit & Go Hero on your smartphone and tablet as well. We let you know what exactly this update is about and how to download the current version for Android, iPhone and iPad.

The newest Party Poker App version has the version number 3.4.0 and has been available in Apple’s iTunes AppStore since March 31, 2016. Next to bug fixes and some visual changes the update also includes a new game called “Sit & Go Hero”. Basically, this is an adaption of well-known jackpot Sit & Go tables like “Spin & Go” (Poker Stars) and “Twister” (iPoker).
However, Party Poker did not only copy the popular game principle, but they added some interesting features that have great potential to make the game become a hit.
First of all, here are the similarities to other jackpot poker games: Party Poker Sit & Go Hero is a super fast Sit & Go game where the price pool is determined randomly before the game starts. It’s most likely that the round’s winner gets the twofold up to fourfold of his buy-in and all other players get nothing. However, there’s also a chance that the price pool might be the sixfold, tenfold or even up to 10000 fold of one’s buy-in. Four players and a bounty
If you had close look at the screenshot, you may have noticed two things already, which we haven’t known from a jackpot poker app so far. First of all, at Sit & Go Hero there are four instead of three opponents. And what’s even more interesting: In every game a bounty is placed on one player who gets chosen randomly. Normally, the player who kicks out the chosen player gets one quarter of the total buy-in as bounty reward.
We think that this is an extremely interesting concept, since it has the potential to bring more tactical depth into the game. Should I proceed aggressively towards the player on which the bounty is placed? Or should I let my opponents do the work at first and then defy the player later in the heads up and thereby at best win the game and get the bounty?
Also for the player on whom the bounty is placed this can be a very appealing situation. Because his opponents will most likely try to kick him out of the tournament. This is something one can take advantage of, though. For example by going all-in with good cards more often and hoping that a greedy opponent might call you with rather moderate cards.
Our opinion: Sit & Go Hero is definitely a great supplement to the mobile Party Poker software and it grades up the Android App and iOS App even further. This is why we revised our Party Poker App test in April 2016. There you find all information on the App.
