PartyPoker Windows Phone App
Being the first poker room to do so, PartyPoker launched a native Windows Phone App in January 2016. Right now, the App is only accessible from Great Britain and can be officially downloaded from the Windows Phone Appstore. We’ve had a look at the App and have some interesting details for you. Among other features, the Windows Phone App has an innovative gesture control.
Concerning its technical aspects, the brand new Windows Phone App uses the techniques of the FastForward App, which was launched in 2014, and which is also available as html5 version for the UK market. The main difference between this FastForward App and the PartyPoker App for Android and iOS is, that you can control the poker game with intuitive swiping gestures. Depending on whether you want to bet or fold you can just drag the coins or cards into the middle of the table. By tapping on the table twice you can check – just like when playing live poker. The screenshot below shows three of the available gestures.

Next to fast forward games where you get seated at a new table automatically after having folded your cards, there are also normal cash games available in the PartyPoker Windows Phone App. According to PartyPoker, the Windows Phone Poker App has thousands of tables, where you can play Texas Hold’em or Omaha. On top of that, there have been some visual adjustments to the poker room. For example, the lobby is kept in a tile design, which is typical for Windows.

What’s very interesting is that the Windows App enables you to register via the App right away and that it offers a mobile cashier for deposits and withdrawals. PartyPoker has mentioned, that they would like to expand their Windows Phone App in the future by offering multi table tournaments.

The PartyPoker Windows Phone App can be downloaded from the British Appstore for free and was classified by PartyPoker as a beta release, which means that officially, the App isn’t mature yet. The fact that the App is available in the UK first isn’t that unusual, since the UK gambling market is rather liberal and regulated. Therefore, many new products get introduced here first. However, according to PartyPoker the App is supposed to be launched in other countries as well. When the FastForward App was released, that also happened in the UK first and it has meanwhile been released in Austria, Ireland, Canada and Sweden as well.

The FastForward App, which has been the basis for the native PartyPoker Windows Phone App, runs on many different mobile devices in the html5 modus where you just add a website to the home screen of your mobile phone or tablet tnstead of installing an App. If you want to try the App, you can just follow these steps:
